A little guide to Roamlet.
Roamlet is a free, early browser-game alpha for adult testers. This release explores Lantern Harbor, the first setting in the Lantern Routes story.
Your first few minutes
- Use WASD or the arrow keys, or tap a path to walk there.
- Find Pip by the dock lantern. Press E or tap the interaction button.
- Restore the lantern, then meet Tavi at the creek to restore the bridge.
- Share tea at the round table. Cross the bridge to water the garden.
- Open Make to preview a decoration. Tap a garden plot, rotate it, and confirm.
A place for your friends
Copy the invitation from inside the game. Each harbor has space for up to eight players. An invitation grants visiting access. The host can grant and revoke building permission in Good company. Quick phrases and emotes are available; open chat and voice are not enabled.
What is saved?
Lantern restoration, the bridge, tea and gardening activity, decorations, permissions, and place memories are stored on the server. Your guest session links this browser to the harbor. Clearing cookies or using a different device can lose access. Account linking and email recovery are still in development.
Early means there’s more to do
The playable world uses original procedural 3D geometry. The large website illustration is concept artwork. Device support and performance are still being tested. The alpha has no checkout, public discovery, voice, or additional playable worlds.
Tavi’s idea picker can use Cloudflare-hosted AI to select from the same free decoration catalog. It cannot change permissions or place objects. If it is unavailable or reaches its budget, a ready-made suggestion is offered.
Comfort and safety
Settings includes sound levels, reduced motion, larger text, and battery-friendly graphics. The player panel lets you block another player’s social messages. Help inside the game saves a report for the alpha operator. Reports are not live support or an emergency service.
Public release, broader audience access, moderation operations, and commercial features remain separate review gates. The 18+ alpha declaration is a research access policy, not a claim of legal clearance.
